Abstract	The application of infrared spectroscopy to quantify phenolic content and antioxidant activity is a new area in herbs. Recently, we demonstrated the feasibility of mid-infrared spectroscopy to predict the phenolic content in lyophilised infusions of aromatic and medicinal herbs [1].
